UECDC provides free quality educational programing including: career counseling, community cultural events, neighborhood gardens, youth programs, Adult Basic Education, English as a Second Language (ESL) and General Education Development courses.

Civic Agriculture (Children of Resettled Families Agriculture and Education Project)

We are collaborating with community partners on an exciting new urban agriculture project at Joyce A. Savocchio Business Park.  Consumers across the nation are increasingly concerned with the health, environmental and social aspects of food production. While producers and retailers are beginning to respond accordingly there is a need and desire to connect with our food source.

Youth Programs

The IMPACT Afterschool program is a mentoring and learning program focused on integrating refugee youths into Erie public, charter and private schools. The mission of IMPACT Afterschool is to increase participants’ academic performance to levels at or above their peers, meet the standards set for their grade level, inspire students about their future while cultivating an atmosphere of fellowship and learning. The program runs 2:30-5:30 Monday through Fridays during the school year.
